Worms – August 24th – 26th 2017
Our time in Amsterdam was short and as much as we loved staying on the boat, we were ready to leave and hit the road to WORMS! Worms Germany was not a place we picked for it’s lovely sightseeing, but rather a half way point to our next destination.
We arrived in the very small German town to stares from locals. Our rental car with France plates totally gave us away.haha. Our airbnb was tucked away in a cute little neighborhood with more locals that could do nothing but stare us down. Not sure if it was because they were unhappy we were there or they were just curious.
We opened the door to our airbnb to the most eclectic place I’ve ever seen. This home was a kids dream, with disco ball, projection lighting on the walls, an entire wall devoted to a movie screen and rope swing in the living room. Oh and don’t forget the piano in the corner! We all had a great time swinging on the rope!!

The next day we explored the town of Worms. It took less than 30 mins, hahaha. We parked at the tourism office, walked to the oldest cemetery ( seriously, visiting cemetery’s is starting to become a thing here, ugh), walked up to the shopping street and tried some pretzels and that’s about all she wrote kids!!
OH, we did find a new lens cover for my camera at the Nikon store (who in their right mind would have known that this little town would have a camera store when I haven’t seen one in big cities!!) Our final stop in the town was the post office where it was quite comical to watch Mark communicate with the postal worker about which envelop we needed!
After our super long day exploring (kidding, we were only gone a couple hours and covered the whole town!!), we went back to our airbnb for a movie and some rope swing time!
