Brugge – August 21st 2017

Waking up in Brugge, we finally got to see where we were (if you remember from last post, we arrived late at night). We ended up being in a cute little resort type place. Little bungalows were everywhere, signs for playground, pool and clubhouse were close by.

We would try to explore our resort later, we had to get a move on to the city of Brugge. A short drive in and fairly painless parking and we were set to explore!

The city was adorable. No, scrap that, it was GORGEOUS!!. Brugge was the old and historic place I had been waiting for since we started our travels. The cobble stone roads and amazing architecture were overload for the camera!!

Coming into the square we saw horse carriages taking people for rides. Note: get out of their way on the streets, they will run you over!!

We saw cute shops, found some postcards and shared some fries (with mayo of course as that’s how it’s done in Europe!).

Next was our spluge: BELGIAN WAFFLES. We each ordered our own. You could create the waffle with any combination you desired. They were fresh, warm and the best sweet thing I have ever had. Sorry Eggo Waffles, I don’t think I’ll ever buy you again 🙁

With our belly’s full and the camera battery dying from the numerous pictures I took, we called it a day and made it back to our resort with a few hours of pool time for the kids.
